My ticket says Polk County but I live in Salem. Why?
Salem straddles two counties: everything west of the Willamette River, West Salem, is in Polk County, so those cases are heard at the circuit court in Dallas rather than downtown Salem. We appear in both courthouses, so either way the case lands with lawyers who know the courtroom.
Do you represent Western Oregon University students?
Yes. Student cases in Monmouth and Independence (alcohol offenses, drug charges, assault allegations) carry consequences beyond the sentence: housing, financial aid, licensure, and a record that follows a young person forward. We defend the case with all of that in view.
How far is your office from Dallas?
About twenty minutes. McMinnville and Dallas are neighboring county seats connected by Highway 99W and Highway 223. Consultations happen at our McMinnville office or by phone to start, whichever is easier.
